The Friends of the Mercer Public Library Fall Celebration is a much-anticipated annual event in Mercer. The 2018 Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Mercer Library and Community Center. The evening features a full catered Italian dinner, wine, the popular "Book Basket" raffles, and live and silent auctions.

Auctioneer Danny O'Sullivan returns to lead the festivities. Items in the live and silent auctions include one-week vacation stays in North Carolina and Arizona, a gourmet dinner for your group, art by local artists such as Rose King and Terry Daulton, a memorable "Smoking Loon," and much more. New this year: take your chances in the "Wine Pull" or pick up a gift certificate for a local business and support the library.

Read on for more details and a list of auction items...

Your Celebration ticket includes dinner, dessert, and beverages. Tickets are available at the library NOW for $30 per person in advance or $35 per person at the door. The event often sells out so don't delay!

The Wine Pull is another fun new addition to our Fall Celebration. For $10, select a bottle of red or white wine from the Wine Pull table. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Mercer Library, who support programming and facility improvements to the library. Recent Friends projects include the addition of a solar energy system to the library, funding for our summer programs and year-round programs for children and adults, new furniture for our Reading Room, and many more services and items not covered in the library's normal budget.
