Geocaching 101

From August 15, 2017 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm
Categories: Adult events
What's geocaching?
According to "Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location."
According to the over 830,000 active geocachers in the U.S. and over 3 million active cachers worldwide, it's a whole lot of fun!
Learn more about the game you can play almost anywhere at a free "Geocaching 101" event sponsored by the Mercer Library and ICORE, the Iron County Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts. Meet new and experienced cachers, learn about the technology you need, and get a chance to try out some local caches.
All are welcome at this free event.
