In Poland, restaurants called "pierogarnia" offer pierogi in dozens of tastes. This is a great thing for every tourist going to Poland to experience. However, if a trip to Poland is not is your near future come and try your hand at making pierogi on Friday, October 27 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Mercer Public Library.
Pierogi is a delicious Polish food. It is often described as a dumpling made with a wide variety of fillings. Depending on the filling it can be the main course or even a dessert. We will try making and sampling some of each, plus you will be able to take some home and share your culinary product with your family! No prior experience necessary!
This program is free and open to all. If you'd like to participate, call the library at 715-476-2366 to register so we can ensure that we have enough ingredients for everyone.
