Beginning Wood Carving class
From March 19, 2018 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm
Categories: Adult events
Gordy Moscinski will conduct a basic Beginning Carving Class at the Mercer Library in two different sessions: March 19 and 21 at 1-4pm each day. Gordy has been a wood carver for over 30 years and a Beginning Carver instructor for over 25 years.
The first day basic safety and tools will be covered, and students will be given time with a practice board to use knives in an easy and safe way. The second day the students will put their knowledge to use in carving a Comfort Bird using the grain of the wood and varying cuts. Students may bring their own carving knives if they wish, or tools and materials will be provided.
This program is free and available to all. (Donations to help cover the cost of materials are appreciated.)
Space is very limited, so participants must call the library at 715-476-2366 to register in advance.
