The Friends of the Mercer Public Library is a support organization dedicated to making your library the best it can be. Each year the Friends supply funding for items that are outside the normal operating budget of the library, including programming for children and adults.
In the past few years, the Friends have also contributed over $50,000 toward the construction of our library addition. The success of the Friends depends on its members, including all those who contribute to our annual membership drive. A membership is inexpensive, and is an easy way to support your library.
| Download a Friends Membership Form (PDF) to print and mail with your donation, or use PayPal to make your donation online. It's easy and secure! |
Active Friends members volunteer at book and bake sales, organize the Fall Celebration and Fundraiser and the Membership Drive, and run various raffles throughout the year. They also help with many other tasks at the library, and many are active library volunteers who work at the circulation desk, shelve books, and help process new library materials.
The Friends meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m., and new members are always welcome!
